Academic, Cultural and Sports Affairs
- A total of 2,398 students are officially enrolled for the 1st semester of AY 2009-2010. The enrollment has increased by 15.45% compared to the 1st semester of the last academic year (2,077). Likewise, there was an increase by 8.04% in the number of first year enrollees comparing with the previous year.
- Conducted the 2009 Recognition Program on 13 April 2009 with Hon. William C. Medrano as guest of honor/speaker
- Conducted the 57th Commencement Exercises on 14 April 2009 with former CHED Chairman Dr. Carlito S. Puno as guest of honor/speaker
- The Agriculture, Agribusiness Management and Food Technology programs passed the Level I Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges & Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
- There are 695 enrollees under the Reserved Officers’ Training Corps and 77 in the Civic Welfare Training Service.
- At present, preparations are being done for the Secondary and Elementary Education programs for Level I Accreditation also by AACCUP scheduled on October.
- Agriculture – three out of eight takers passed = 37.5% (national passing percentage is 38.32%)
- Secondary Education – two out of 26 takers passed = 7.69% (23 of the takers are repeaters and graduates since 1996)
- Elementary Education – six out of 19 takers passed = 31.58% (national passing percentage is 27.86%)
- The Supreme Student Council won 1st Place in the Search for Best Social Enterprise Proposal with the proposal entitled Sayaw-Galaw: Inang, Tatang, Hataw! during the Kenyo Be? Bulakeño Student Leaders Forum held on June 20-21 at the Malolos Resort Club Royale, City of Malolos, Bulacan sponsored by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment, Arts & Culture Office in partnership with the Ateneo School of Government.

Techno-Gabay
- Provided office supplies for FITS centers’ operation and maintenance in Malolos and San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
- Submitted two proposals on Science and Technology-Based Farms to PCCARD through CLARRDEC
- Conducted a Seminar on Tilapia Production on 24 April 2009 at Guiguinto, Bulacan
Palayamanan in the Community
- Conducted a harvest festival and Farmers’ Field School graduation on watermelon production on 28 April 2009
- Conducted a Lakbay-Aral on 5 May 2009 at PhilRice with farmer-cooperators and implementers.
- Continuous conduct of farmers’ field school on watermelon production in cooperation with Harbest Seed Company and selected farmer-cooperators.
- Experts from the Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA), Central Luzon State University and Department of Science & Technology (DOST)-Region III were invited to serve as evaluators.
- A seminar on Increasing Yield & Production was conducted on June 2 participated by more than 30 farmer-beneficiaries in which biological fertilizers and products appropriate for weed control were introduced.
- The available fund of the project is PhP700,000 and the total number of farmer-beneficiaries increased from 30 in 2006 to 53 this year all over Bulacan.
- The farmer-beneficiaries were given loans of around PhP7,000-PhP20,000 per cropping season payable in four to five months and the service charge are collected at 100% every season.
- The farmer-beneficiaries of the project are earning a net income of PhP10,000-PhP50,000 per cropping season.
- The College is planning to generate additional financial resources to be provided to other farmers with enhanced capabilities and are willing to adopt new and potential technologies in the locality.
- 40 units of rice hull carbonizer from the Philippine Rice Research Institute were distributed to partner-villages.
- An educational tour was conducted at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños on May 11 participated by farmer-beneficiaries.
- 100% of the repayments of farmer-beneficiaries was collected.
- New technologies and agricultural products such as the sweet potato production technology of TCA and the Bio-organic fertilizer of AMWAY were demonstrated in three model farms.
- PhP50,000 worth of fund was sourced out from the Philippine Rice Research Institute.
More or less 100 visitors (farmers, students, agricultural workers) from different municipalities of Bulacan visited the Palayamanan Model Farm of the College to learn the concept of the project with regards to the establishment of an integrated farming system.
- The Palayamanan Model farm of the College served as a venue for the field experiment of students undertaking thesis and research study.
Information and communications technology equipment were released to the Bustos FITS Center.
- A training on Food Processing was conducted on June 3-4 participated by housewives of farmers in which processes on bitter gourd candy and pickle-making were taught.
Three batches were trained on production management practices in three municipalities in Bulacan.
- Processing equipment amounting to PhP28,000 were purchased.
The Tissue Culture Laboratory of the College was converted to the College Food Processing Center.
- Completion of the project is already at 61.85% complete and 89.54% of its total project cost was provided by the National Economic & Development Authority-Region III.
Packaging materials for candy, pickles and fresh bitter gourd were developed and reproduced.

- PhP25-30,000 financial assistance was provided to the Bataan Peninsula State University, Aurora State College of Technology and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University.
- A field experiment on Seedling & Fertilizer Management under Alternate Wetting & Drying Irrigation Methods was established at the Bureau of Soil & Water Management experimental station at San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
- Five trials on Participatory Varietal Selection (varieties or lines intended for Aerobic rice production system) were established at Bataan, Bulacan, Palawan, La Union and Bataan.

- Fifty (50) demonstration farms at ½ to 1 hectare were established in different areas of the country to date.
- On the AEROBIC RICE SEED PRODUCTION PROJECT
Five hectares of land located at San Ildefonso and the main campus were planted with Aerobic rice for seed production.
- On the CARABAO UPGRADING PROJECT in BULACAN
Research and production facilities such as maternity pen, artificial insemination (AI) and research laboratories, water system and feeding through were upgraded.
- An additional two hectares of forage production area was established in the breeding station of the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB).
- Five additional breeder or experimental animals were purchased.
- The PhP2 M annual budget from PGB was already received.
- A total of 117 carabaos in Bulacan as of July 2009 were serviced with AI through the 17 partner-AI technicians in the province.
- Meetings on AI promotion and services were conducted in five villages of the province.
The 1st Carabao Congress is being planned to be conducted in the Province this year.
- To date, the estimated number of farmer-adoptors based on data gathered from partner-state universities and colleges (SUCs) is 500.
- A National Aerobic Rice Conference is being organized to be conducted next year in partnership with the partner-SUCs, the International Rice Research Institute and other concerned government offices.

- On the TECHNO-GABAY PROGRAM in BULACAN
- Orientation on the program was conducted in the Municipalities of Calumpit, Pulilan and Plaridel, Bulacan.
- Eight Magsasaka-Siyentista or Farmer-Scientists from Calumpit, Pulilan and Plaridel who were endorsed by their respective municipal agriculture officers were evaluated.
- Thirty (30) different information materials were developed and distributed to Farmers’ Information & Technology Services (FITS) centers in San Ildefonso and the Provincial Agriculture Office of Bulacan.
